PlanMaker fE and PlanView fE

At Van Gennep, we are dedicated to improving the efficiency of magazine production
and helping our customers to work smarter, not harder!
In response to this, we have developed our edition planning applications
PlanMakerfE and PlanViewfE to connect with WoodWing’s Smart Connection
Enterprise, an Adobe® InDesign® and InCopy® based editorial workflow
system.
Visual Planning
Using the benefits of our modules, as developed for use with our own market leading planning, process and workflow management system, PlanSystem3™, we have been able to significantly enhance the effectiveness of Smart Connection Enterprise, by providing visual edition planning and viewing capabilities, not formerly available to WoodWing customers. Available as optional plug-ins, PlanMakerfE and PlanViewfE key benefits enable users to enjoy time and money savings through:

- Improved production efficiency – Allows multiple users to view the same edition plan
Edition Planning
PlanMakerfE - an advanced edition-planning tool, offering real time space calculation, and graphic status and element tracking. Enabling a publication’s copy and design progress to be visually monitored, the system helps production problems to be identified earlier and deadlines to be managed more effectively.
PlanMakerfE allows users to track production progress by displaying status
information and thumbnails of pages as they move through the production cycle.
With PlanMakerfE you can assign existing jobs as well as create jobs from
the edition plan.
PlanMakerfE also provides users with remote connectivity
and
automatic job creation, enabling you to create and maintain edition plans
within Smart Connection Enterprise.
PlanViewfE – an application allowing users
to view edition plans on a read-only basis within Smart Connection Enterprise.
With PlanViewfE you can see the planned pages and the connected layouts (including
the thumbnail and status of the layout) with the ability to zoom in up to 100%
of the thumbnails.

PlanMakerfE uses the Smart Connection Enterprise database as its own database,

of PlanMakerfE and its connection to SCE takes less than
an hour!
Both PlanMakerfE and PlanViewfE are available for use with both Macintosh® and
Microsoft® Windows® platforms.
