Moving into an exciting 2006 with all our customers and associates! Since the last newsletter update a few months ago, it has been an exciting time for us here at Van Gennep, and, we believe, for the publishing industry as a whole. We are delighted to welcome QuadSystems as our exclusive distributor for the North American market, confirming the success of PlanSystem3™ in the USA and Canada. Our new partnership with Adobe InDesign partner and software developer, WoodWing has demonstrated the unique value and flexibility of our edition-planning tool, PlanMaker™, as a stand-alone product. Our indirect sales strategy is also flourishing, heralded by our latest PlanSystem3 distribution agreement with European reseller Otterbach and strengthening relationships with existing distributors. In the Industry as a whole, the release of Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Quark Inc.'s preview of QuarkXPress 7 in 2005, demonstrated a growing preoccupation with greater integration and streamlining in publishing workflows. This is something Van Gennep has long recognised as key for competitive publishing, reflected by the recent release of PlanSystem3 v3.6, with its enhanced workflow protection and simplification features. Van Gennep's attendance at a number of Adobe Creative Suite 2 conferences provided a great platform to meet customers and demonstrate the integration between PlanSystem3 and Adobe's new package. Other shows including the 22nd Annual Catalog Conference, in Orlando, the Masthead Trade Show in Toronto, Canada's annual magazine conference and tradeshow, and IFRA, the yearly European print and publishing show, were busy events, with friends old and new joining us and our resellers. Van Gennep is already enjoying an exciting 2006, building on the relationships and successes of 2005, whilst welcoming new partners and customers.
