Van Gennep offers PlanMaker connection to WoodWing’s Smart Connection Enterprise, to further enhance InCopy/ InDesign based workflows
The Netherlands, June 7, 2005 – Publishing software provider, Van Gennep – M.A.C., has agreed to work with WoodWing, to create a connection between WoodWing’s Smart Connection Enterprise, the leading InDesign® and InCopy® based editorial solution and Van Gennep’s unique edition planning tool, PlanMaker™. The PlanMaker connection offers Smart Connection Enterprise users increased page planning and production control.
Van Gennep’s PlanMaker will enhance WoodWing’s Adobe® InDesign and InCopy based editorial workflow system, Smart Connection Enterprise, by providing a visual edition planning capability, not formerly available to WoodWing customers.
PlanMaker enables a publication’s copy and design progress to be visually monitored, helping production problems to be identified earlier and deadlines to be managed more effectively.

A specially tailored version of PlanMaker will be available from mid 2005 via a reseller channel, as an optional plug-in to Smart Connection Enterprise. PlanMaker is also available as part of PlanSystem3, Van Gennep’s own planning, process and workflow management system, providing users with remote connectivity, automatic job creation and edition versioning.
